Copy the compressed installation file thatyou downloaded from PassportAdvantage a local disk or to anetwork-accessible share.2. Double-click the compressed installationfile name.3. The program prompts you for a directoryto unpack the files to. By default, thisdirectory is the current disk drive, indrive:\tsm_images\TSM_BA_Clientdirectory.4. Accept or change the location for theuncompressed installation files. If theinstallation program detects files fromanother client installation attempt in thisdirectory, you are prompted to determinewhether you want to overwrite the oldfiles. If you receive this prompt, selectYestoAllto overwrite the existing files;this selection ensures that only the filesfrom the current installation are used.2. Select a language to use for this installation <strong>and</strong> click OK.3. If you are prompted to install one, or more, Microsoft C++ redistributablefiles, the prompt indicates that your node does not have the C++ files that arerequired by the Windows Backup-Archive Client. Click Install to install thefiles <strong>and</strong> continue with the client installation; or, click Cancel to end theinstallation process.4. The Tivoli Storage Manager Windows Backup-Archive Client installationprogram starts. On the Welcome screen, click Next to begin installing the newclient software.5. Accept or change the default installation directory.6.
