A portion of fundsraised from the garage sale barbecuewill go towards the inaugural event.“We’re hoping to have that in ournew Kristina Kiss Park,” said Aldis.The summer festival will be heldin August, with a firm date to be announced.If the park construction isn’tfinished by that time, the event will beheld in the parking lot of the Real CanadianSuperstore on Eagleson Road,said Aldis.Details of the event will be deliveredto every door in the Trailwest andBridlewood Trails communities in theform of a gift bag, donated by the Superstore,he added.The Trailwest Summerfest will featurea host of activities and games “tobring the community together,” saidAldis.Most of the association’s communicationis accomplished online, saidAldis. An annual general meeting washeld last winter to elect the executive,and the board meets bi-monthly to discussany issues that are raised.
