Systempro M compact ®Application sheetsE 257 latching relay with central commandMDRCsOperating principleThe E257 relays have a centralcommand that allows the contacts of allthe relays to be brought to the sameposition by sending a pulse to the ON(or OFF) circuit.Application environmentsThe E257 relays are suitable forapplications in which loads (i.e. in alighting circuit) are controlled throughmultiple relays, commanded both locallyand through a central command forresetting all the relays.Example of installationAs illustrated in the diagrams, theE257 relays (installed in the panelof a yacht) allow loads to becontrolled from the main panelthrough pulses sent to the local coilof each E257.In the event of an accidental resetof the main control panel, it willlose track of the individual state ofthe E257 relays. For this reason, thereboot procedure requires all theE257 relays to be reset to OFF.The main control panelaccomplishes this by sending apulse to all the OFF contacts of theE257 relays, through a type E259support relay, thus bringing all therelays to the same state.11Selection tables ............................. pag. 6/2711/10ABB
