2MCBs for heavy-duty industrialprotection consist of threedifferent ranges.2CSC400395F02012CSC400396F0201S 280 series, which includesthe 80 A and 100 A ratedcurrent versions (one pole, onemodule), available in B and Ccharacteristics, 6 kA breakingcapacity according to IEC/EN60898 Standard and 35 mm 2size of the terminals. The rangeincludes also the S 280 UCseries that protects directcurrent circuits with highvoltages.In all circuit-breakers of therange there is no specificmechanical constraint betweenthe case and the internalmechanical componentswhich form three independentfunctional blocks: in this way,any distortion of the case, inthe event of thermal shock,does not affect the correctfunctioning of the circuit-breaker.The supply lines of the protectedcircuit can be connectedto either the upper or lowerterminals of the circuit-breakers(reversibility of connections).The double terminal of thesecircuit-breakers enablessimultaneous connectionof cables and busbars.S 290 series, for the use inswitchboards and consumerunits for modular devices with45 mm slotting and ratedcurrents up to 125 A. Theycan be mounted alongsidestandard modular circuitbreakersbecause of theirmodular design and ability tobe installed on 35 mm DIN EN50022 rails.The circuit-breakers areavailable in 1-2-3-4 poleversions with a width equal to1 module and a half per pole(27 mm); the characteristiccurves are C, D and K.The extensive S800 range offersthe right high performanceMCBs with high-rated breakingcapacities and various trippingcharacteristics. The units of theS 800 S series, both AC andDC types, operate in a nominalcurrent range of between 10and 125 A covering breakingcapacities of up to 50 kA.The S800 N is the ideal solutionfor applications of up to 36kA; of course also for currentratings of between 10 and125 A.The high-rated breakingcapacities of up to 50 kA allowelectrical distribution systemsto be configured and operatedsafely in an uncomplicatedmanner.Compact dimensions ensurethat energy distribution systemscan be set up in a spacesavingway.
