The NTA Approval of a project may be conditional; theremay be limitations on the scope of the project; there maybe process requirements specified; or a requirement torefine or modify the design may be stated. In any issuedapproval, the amount of approved funding will be set outand the Sponsoring Agency is required to ensure that theexpenditure reimbursement amount is maintained withinthe authorised limit.In all cases the NTA is basing its approval of a particularproject on the stated amount of the scheme estimateprovided by the Sponsoring Agency. If at any stagefollowing the issue of funding approval the SponsoringAgency becomes aware of any potential increases in thescheme cost, it shall promptly inform the NTA and provideit with details of the increase.19
