<strong>Broadcasting</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Recorded</strong> <strong>Entertainment</strong> <strong>Award</strong> <strong>2010</strong>(d)Should an employee be directed to travel away from the usual studios tobroadcast, or record or perform any other duties, the time involved in travellingto <strong>and</strong> from such location will be counted as time worked, provided themaximum travelling time to be paid for will be eight hours on any one day.34. Hours of work—Technical staff34.1 The hours of work of a full-time employee must not exceed 38 hours per week, to beworked wherever reasonably possible in shifts of eight hours per day, <strong>and</strong> in anyevent not exceeding nine hours per day (inclusive of meal breaks).34.2 The arrangement for working the 38 hours per week is to be agreed between theemployer <strong>and</strong> the employee from the alternatives in clause 33.2.34.3 The agreed hours of work arrangement must meet the following conditions.(a)(b)A minimum of seven hours 36 minutes <strong>and</strong> a maximum of nine hours may beworked in any one day.An employee must be given a minimum break of 10 hours between the finishof ordinary hours of work on the one day <strong>and</strong> the commencement of ordinaryhours of work on the next day.35. Rosters—Announcers <strong>and</strong> Broadcaster/Journalists[35—Rosters—Announcers renamed as Rosters—Announcers <strong>and</strong> Broadcaster/Journalists by PR996846 from28May10]35.1 A roster for employees other than casuals showing normal starting <strong>and</strong> finishingtimes <strong>and</strong> the name of each employee must be prepared by the employer <strong>and</strong> must bedisplayed in a conspicuous place accessible to the employees concerned.35.2 The roster must contain details of the days <strong>and</strong> hours of work of each employeeduring the 14 days shown on the roster <strong>and</strong> will be issued not later than seven daysprior to the commencement date of such roster.35.3 The roster must provide that each employee has four days off in each fortnight,unless paid at overtime rates as provided for in clause 39—Overtime—Announcersof this award. Such roster must provide that not less than two of the said four daysoff are consecutive days in each fortnight.35.4 An employee must not be so rostered or required to work so that the end of one day’swork <strong>and</strong> the beginning of the next day’s work occur on the same calendar day.Provided that this provision will not apply to an employee who is working themidnight to dawn shift or to an employee rostered to work one unbroken stretch to1.00 am <strong>and</strong> who commences their work on the same day after a break of not lessthan 10 hours.35.5 The roster may not be altered at less than seven days notice of such alteration exceptin an actual emergency or with the agreement of the employer <strong>and</strong> employee.42 MA000091
