Matthew 23:37--“OJerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, andstonest them which are sent unto thee, how oen would Ihave gathered thy children together, even as a hen gatherethher chickens under her wings, and ye would not!” John 5:40“And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”Here we see that the sovereign will of the Son of God, whodesired to save Israel throughout her history and who oensent His prophets to her, was refused.Consider the unsaved of our day. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4--“Butif our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whomthe god of this world hath blinded the minds of them whichbelieve not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, whois the image of God, should shine unto them.”Here we see that men are blinded because of their ownunbelief and they are lost because they reject the gospel.
