THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SEMINOLE COUNTY-ACTION ITEM: LONGWOOD ELEMENTARY: LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE IV.J.CITY OF LONGWOODItem Number1. Superintendent’s Recommendation:That the School Board of Seminole County receive public input and approve and execute the LeaseAgreement between The School Board of Seminole County, Fl and The City of Longwood aspresented in the amount of $50,765 per year and expiring or renegotiating in September 2016.2. Background/Analysis:The City of Longwood has proposed leasing the former Longwood Elementary School for the purposeof providing a location for community recreation and senior activity services. Several visits to the siteand discussions on the specific buildings and costs has resulted in their request to lease Buildings 1,2, 7, 13, 14 & 15. These are the former administration, cafeteria, media center and pavilion buildingsand represent approximately 28,725 square feet. Based on this area, the lease rate will be $50,765per year, payable quarterly, and the lease will commence on November 1, 2011 through September30, 2016.3.
