Twofloors have been set aside for postgraduatestudents. Horton provides en suite, selfcateredaccommodation in self-containedflats of eight single study rooms; some ofthese rooms have fantastic views of the bayor the surrounding parkland.Campus facilities also include:• shops• a Post Office• a health centre • restaurants• a dental surgery • a book shop• bars• a bankLiving in the Student VillageApproximately two miles from campus isthe Hendrefoelan Student Village, whichprovides self-catering accommodation inflats and houses. The Student Village ismainly home to undergraduate students,but a designated area for postgraduatesoffers rooms in flats sharing kitchen andbathroom facilities.If you choose to live in the Village, youwill have your own room at a rate thatcompares favourably with private sectoraccommodation. Student life at the Villageis sociable, supportive and you will benefitfrom:• Woody’s, the on-site bar• a convenience shop and fast-food outletBeck HouseWe have a number of single and familyflats at our designated quiet residence,Beck House, approximately a mile fromcampus in the popular student area ofUplands. The residence offers standard anden suite accommodation in self-containedflats, and single study rooms with sharedbathroom and kitchen facilities.three bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchenand a bathroom. Some accommodationhas been adapted for students withdisabilities – please contact ResidentialServices to discuss any specificrequirements you may have.Swansea Accommodation ServicesResidential Services runs a letting agencywith the Students’ Union; SAS Lettingsmanages over 100 properties owned bylocal landlords. There are a number offive and six-bed houses designated topostgraduates, providing affordableprivate sector housing close to campuswith the reassurance that the University isyour landlord. Each student has their ownstudy bedroom with shared kitchen andbathroom facilities.We place significant importance onstudent welfare. In addition to 24-hoursecurity staff on campus, our WelfareWardens are on hand to help you settlein and provide pastoral support.
