If you choose totake the extr<strong>ac</strong>urricular language classes in Swansea, you mayalso have the chance to spend up to four weeks in China duringthe summer, studying Chinese language and culture at one of ourpartner universities. The classes are offered to all full-time students.Even if you can’t commit to the China trip, we recommend thatyou sign up for the language classes. China has a stronginfluence on the global economy, so being able to speak thelanguage will boost your job prospects.Building skills in BangaloreWe’re also developing new projects to help our students gainvaluable study and work experience in India. Our recent Studyin India pilot project enabled students to experience life in India,combining lectures at a partner college with voluntary work at arural development centre and with city-based charities.We have also developed a work pl<strong>ac</strong>ement scheme that buildslinks with many of the multinational companies that have theiroffices in Bangalore – one of the first students to take advantageof the scheme completed an internship at GE Healthcare inBangalore, and has been guaranteed a job when shegraduates.These programmes are not just the chance for a trip of a lifetime.They’ll help you to develop skills and a global perspective thatwill last a lifetime.“Employers are increasingly looking for graduates whohave a breadth of experience, particularly if that includes aninternational dimension.
