Typically this includes:• Fully-funded PhD studentshipsThese are available to students fromthe UK and EU wishing to pursue fulltimeresearch studies in selectedsubject areas. Each studentship coversthe UK home tuition fee and an annualmaintenance grant in the region of£13,590.• 100 Master’s ScholarshipsAvailable to students from the UK andEU wishing to pursue full- or part-timeMaster’s or MRes programmes. Our commitment to studentsupport is recognised by is recognisedby ‘Buttle UK’ and we have held theQuality Mark for Care Leavers in HigherEducation since 2007.As part of the support package, a CareLeavers Grant may be available tostudents starting a postgraduate taughtor research degree (but not a doctorate).This is a one off grant that can only bepaid on enrolment to the firstpostgraduate course. You can apply to thefund at any point during the academicyear, including the summer vacation. Anapplication must be received no laterthan two months before you completeyour course. Eligibility to apply to thefund does not guarantee assistance andyou should not therefore rely on thesefunds as a source of income.EU/International Crisis FundWe have also established a small fundto provide emergency assistance forEU/international students who facefinancial difficulties not anticipated at thestart of the course, and not within theircontrol.
