Typically this includes:• Fully-funded PhD studentshipsThese are available to students fromthe UK and EU wishing to pursue fulltimeresearch studies in selectedsubject areas. Our commitment to studentsupport is recognised by is recognisedby ‘Buttle UK’ and we have held theQuality Mark for Care Leavers in HigherEducation since 2007.As part of the support p<strong>ac</strong>kage, a CareLeavers Grant may be available tostudents starting a postgraduate taughtor research degree (but not a doctorate).This is a one off grant that can only bepaid on enrolment to the firstpostgraduate course. You can apply to thefund at any point during the <strong>ac</strong>ademicyear, including the summer v<strong>ac</strong>ation. Anapplication must be received no laterthan two months before you completeyour course. Eligibility to apply to thefund does not guarantee assistance andyou should not therefore rely on thesefunds as a source of income.EU/International Crisis FundWe have also established a small fundto provide emergency assistance forEU/international students who f<strong>ac</strong>efinancial difficulties not anticipated at thestart of the course, and not within theircontrol.
