Maintenance and TroubleshootingThis section describes the the<strong>or</strong>y of operation to aid in troubleshooting and adjustments of the antenna system. Also refer tothe Troubleshooting section of your ACU manual f<strong>or</strong> additional troubleshooting details.WARNING: Electrical Hazard – Dangerous AC Voltages exist inside the <strong>Antenna</strong> PedestalBreaker Box. Observe proper safety precautions when w<strong>or</strong>king inside the Pedestal Breaker Box.WARNING: Electrical Hazard – Dangerous AC Voltages exists on the side of the <strong>Antenna</strong>Pedestal Power Supply. Warranty Inf<strong>or</strong>mationSea Tel Inc. supp<strong>or</strong>ts its Series 00 systems with a ONE YEAR warranty on parts and lab<strong>or</strong>.What’s Covered by the Limited Warranty?The Sea Tel Series 00 Limited Warranty is applicable f<strong>or</strong> parts and lab<strong>or</strong> coverage to the complete antenna system,including all above-decks equipment (radome, pedestal, antenna, mot<strong>or</strong>s, electronics, wiring, etc.) and the <strong>Antenna</strong>Control Unit (ACU).What’s NOT Covered by the Limited Warranty?It does not include Television sets, DBS/DTH receivers, multi-switches <strong>or</strong> other distribution equipment, whether <strong>or</strong> notsupplied by Sea Tel commonly used in <strong>TVRO</strong> Systems. Televisions, DBS/DTH receivers and access<strong>or</strong>ies are covered bythe applicable warranties of the respective manufacturers.It does not include Transmit & Receive RF Equipment, Modems, Multiplexers <strong>or</strong> other distribution equipment, whether<strong>or</strong> not supplied by Sea Tel commonly used in Satellite Communications (TXRX) Systems. These equipments arecovered by the applicable warranties of the respective manufacturers.Fact<strong>or</strong>y refurbished components used to replace systems parts under this warranty are covered by this same warrantyas the <strong>or</strong>iginal equipment f<strong>or</strong> the balance of the <strong>or</strong>iginal warranty term, <strong>or</strong> ninety (90) days from the date ofreplacement, whichever occurs last. Original Installation of the Series 00 system must be accomplished by <strong>or</strong> underthe supervision of an auth<strong>or</strong>ized Sea Tel dealer f<strong>or</strong> the Sea Tel Limited Warranty to be valid and in f<strong>or</strong>ce.Should technical assistance be required to repair your system, the first contact should be to the agent/dealer youpurchased the equipment from.Please refer to the complete warranty inf<strong>or</strong>mation included with your system.7.2. Recommended Preventive MaintenanceEnsure that all of the n<strong>or</strong>mal operating settings (LAT, LON, HDG, SAT and al of the Tracking Receiver settings) are setc<strong>or</strong>rectly. Refer to the Functional Testing section to test the system.7.2.1. Check ACU ParametersAssure that the parameters are set c<strong>or</strong>rectly (you may wish to rec<strong>or</strong>d them in the Fact<strong>or</strong>y Default Settings, insection 5 of this manual).7.2.2. Latitude/Longitude Auto-Update checkRefer to the Latitude & Longitude Update check procedure in the Functional Testing section of this manual.7.2.3. Heading FollowingRefer to the Heading Following verification procedure in the Functional Testing section of this manual.7-1
