• Any institution offering learning that will enable <strong>the</strong> achievement of this Qualifi cation mustbe accredited as a provider with <strong>the</strong> relevant ETQA, or with an ETQA that has an MOU with<strong>the</strong> relevant ETQA, in which case programme approval should be obtained from <strong>the</strong>relevant ETQA.• Assessment and moderation of assessment will be overseen by <strong>the</strong> relevant ETQA accordingto <strong>the</strong> policies and guidelines for assessment and moderation of that ETQA, in terms ofagreements reached around assessment and moderation between various ETQAs(including professional bodies).• Moderation must include both internal and external moderation of assessments at allexit points of <strong>the</strong> Qualifi cation, unless ETQA policies specify o<strong>the</strong>rwise. Moderation shouldalso encompass achievement of <strong>the</strong> competence described in <strong>the</strong> Exit Level Outcomes of<strong>the</strong> Qualifi cation.The options as listed above provide <strong>the</strong> opportunity to ensure that assessment andmoderation can be transparent, affordable, valid, reliable and non-discriminatory.CRITERIA FOR THE REGISTRATION OF ASSESSORS• For an applicant to register as an assessor or moderator of this Qualifi cation <strong>the</strong> applicantneeds:• To be registered as an assessor or moderator with <strong>the</strong> relevant ETQA.• To be in possession of a relevant qualifi cation at NQF Level 4 or preferably above.
