I\ level. The predominant vegetation is grass with some trees and brush. d. Geology and Soil I -4 (1) The soils of former Jenner Radar Site are part of the neel land-Rohnerville-Kinman association (reference B-5). (a) Kneeland soils are gently sloping and moderately sloping dark gray loam on ocean terraces. This soil is usually about 45 inches deep, and at times it is 40 inches deep. Runoff is rapid, and the hazard of erosion is high. (b) The Kinman soils are steep dark grayish-brown loam located on the uplands. Most of the slopes are long and smooth. These soils are moderately well drained. (c) The Rohnerville soils are moderately well drained loam that have a subsoil of mainly sandy clay. They formed in material weathered from soft sandstone. These soils are on marine and bench terraces. They are along the ocean coastal areas between the shoreline and two to three miles inland. (2) Basically, the site is moderately well drained to well drained, nearly level to steep loams to clay loams; on the coastal benches, terraces and uplands. e. Hydrology (1) The site is bordered by the Russian River on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Surface drainage is directed to these bodies of water. (2) Tidal information for the coast at Goat Rock, which is located on the site, is summarized in table 3-2 (reference B- 24). Natural Resources The fish, wildlife, and plant life population within the former Jenner Radar Site B-76 is diverse and may contain the endangered and threatened species which are listed in Table 3-3. Prior to the start of any projects, it is recommended that the Fish and Wildlife Service be contacted for a current list of endangered/threatened species (see document F-1 and F-2). g. Historical/Cultural Resources (1) At this time, the SHPO has ten recorded Native American and historic cultural resources within the project area (see document F-3) .
