How does it happen? Programmed by a samskara, a thoughtor feeling arises. When the thought is illumined by Awareness, theexperience of knowing occurs. Knowledge, its dead by-product, is of thecontent of the wave. For example, if anger is rising in the mind, one knowsone is angry unless the Self's attention is elsewhere. Similarly, informationcoming in through the senses will create a mind wave but no knowledgeunless the Self illumines it. After the blending of Awareness and the wave,the experience of knowing itself becomes a finer wave (memory) and passesout of waking consciousness to be stored as a "seed" in the subconscious.Owing to the dynamic nature of the subconscious the memory may be reexperiencedwhen the seed sprouts, manifests in the Subtle Body, and isillumined by Awareness once again.
