Even the Bonnevillemodel name was more exciting than the competition.Flamboyant two tone petrol tanks and mudguards were featured inmost years, and the 1965 finish of Pacific Blue and silver was surelyone of the most attractive colour combinations in the Bonneville’s longhistory.This immaculate matching numbers 1965 Bonnie has been in the longterm ownership of the vendor since 1992. It is now being offered forsale following the recent death of his mother. The subsequent sale ofthe parental home has resulted in a considerable loss of storage spacerequiring a thinning out of his collection.Between 1992 & 1994 it was the subject of a magnificent,comprehensive, no expense spared restoration by the extremely ableowner. The engine, gearbox, cycle parts, electrics, and cosmeticswere all rebuilt with meticulous attention to detail. The crank wasdynamically balanced by Basset Down Balancing. Other features of therestoration are genuine new old stock Dunlop wheel rims, correct newold stock Lucas switches, correct 389 Amal Monobloc carburettors,and a new wiring loom.
