The course offers amixture of theory and practical advice.Exploring the Early Years Foundation Stage FrameworkThe Early Years Foundation Stage is based around four themes:• a unique child• positive relationships• enabling environments• learning and developmentThis session will give governors an opportunity to explore the statutory framework and the fourthemes and principles and to consider the implications for their school.School Attendance Matters to GovernorsSchool attendance is crucial to improve pupils’ chances. This session will provide an overviewof governors’ responsibilities.
