The training is open to every member ofthe governing body and course evaluationsshow that attendees benefit not only fromthe support it provides to enhance their rolebut in the sharing of good practice with eachother.New governors can benefit from a range ofinduction training. For more experiencedgovernors we recommend you participatein the programme specifically designed toenhance your role. For governors already in,or thinking about, a leadership role makesure you take advantage of the specificleadership development courses e.g. thenew National Chair of Governors LeadershipDevelopment Programme.With the increasing number of schoolsconverting to academies, you will bereassured to know the majority of coursesand Governing Body Development Sessionsare relevant and support the needs of allgovernors regardless of your type of school.For schools considering conversion toacademy status, we can help you reflectwhether this is right for your school.
