LUKEY FEATURENEW WALKER CATALOGUESETS NEW STANDARDThe 2008/2009 Walker Catalogue has been released and it hasset a new standard in the presentation of exhaust productsto the automotive aftermarket industry.Available in both hard-copy andelectronic formats, the comprehensivecatalogue offers a wealth ofinformation including part numbers,applications, technical tips, and fitmentadvice for the entire Walker and Lukeyranges.Peter Small, Product Manager forWalker Australia, said both versions hadbeen eagerly awaited by the trade butthe CD ROM was set to be extremelypopular this year.“The upgraded electronic cataloguehas a range of new features which aredesigned to ensure the productsearching and information findingprocesses are easier and moreenjoyable,” he said.“The CD ROM gives users the abilityto search electronically for key wordsand part numbers while providingproduct features and full colourphotographs.“It has been designed with ease-ofusein mind – so it’s quick, effective andassists in demonstrating our productoffering to the customer while helpingthem make informed choices about thesound and look of their vehicle when itcomes to exhaust systems.”A particularly notable feature of theCD ROM catalogue is the Lukey TipDemonstrator, which shows customersfirst hand just how a new Lukey tipwould look on their vehicle.“The Demonstrator is a neatapplication that allows the user ofthe CD ROM to select a vehicle andapply various Lukey exhaust tips to theimage to show how it would reallylook,” Mr Small said.Mr Small said that customerswill be pleasantly surprised byboth new versions – and they’reset to provide sellers with muchbetter collateral to convey thestrengths and benefits of Lukeyand Walker products.“It’s all about providing customerswith the best possible advice – and theTip Demonstrator ensures they makethe right decision when it comes to thelook of a specific Lukey tip on their car.”Product features are also anattractivepart of the CDROM package,allowing users to view thecomplete Walker and Lukey rangewithin seconds.“The CD Catalogue has beendesigned with similar drop down menusto the website and includes all newproduct releases since the 2006catalogue,” Mr Small said.Mr Small said the 2008/09 versionswere set to raise the bar and were inline with all other marketing and salesmaterials for more efficient handling.“The past CD ROM lacked the sameDNA as the rest of our marketingmaterial so with this version we wentback to basics with the aim to producean easy-to-use, intuitive tool that is fastand delivers more beneficial features tohelp the trade sell Walker and Lukeyproducts,” he said.“Research shows that more andmore people use the web for product52 AU T O M O T I V E A F T E R M A R K E T M AG A Z I N E AU G U ST 2 0 0 8 www.aaaa.com.au
