There are at present many conferencesthroughout the world discussing <strong>and</strong> sharing potential solutions on sustainable foodproduction at the macro <strong>and</strong> micro levels. Although we may not all agree on theprocess, it is nevertheless urgent that governments have access to opinions <strong>of</strong>industry practitioners.The 5th <strong>World</strong> Congress for <strong>Conservation</strong> Agriculture <strong>and</strong> 3rd Farming SystemsDesign Conference has seen the benefit <strong>of</strong> cooperating to <strong>of</strong>fer a broader spectrum <strong>of</strong>ideas working towards sustainable agricultural practices. The Congress has also beenjoined by L<strong>and</strong>care International to <strong>of</strong>fer a natural resources management perspectiveto food production. The support <strong>of</strong> the Australian government at the State <strong>and</strong>Federal level, research organisations, the United Nations Food <strong>and</strong> AgricultureOrganisation, Australian universities along with local farmer groups have made this atruly inclusive congress.The themes include fundamental farm practices, technology designs, policyframeworks, knowledge sharing, environment <strong>and</strong> policy initiatives; the details <strong>of</strong>which are on our website. Spanning four days in the Australian spring <strong>of</strong> <strong>2011</strong>, 26-29September, we look forward to welcoming you to share your ideas for the future <strong>of</strong>food production.
