This meeting will focus on h<strong>and</strong>s-on demonstrations <strong>of</strong> one or two methods <strong>of</strong>evaluation <strong>of</strong> soil structural quality to allow people without much experience in soil science to identifyconditions where loosening or other soil improvement are required. Guidance will be given on how to chooserelevant sampling locations. Combining soil quality assessments with vegetation <strong>and</strong> crop conditions to estimatecrop performance <strong>and</strong> environmental conditions such as potential greenhouse gas emissions <strong>and</strong> potential carbonsequestration will also feature. This KT meeting follows on from a workshop <strong>of</strong> visual structurepractitioners on 16 <strong>and</strong> 17 May <strong>2011</strong>.
