Civic LeadershipPublic launch of Our Greater San Diego Vision on June 15, 2011.Our Greater San Diego VisionOur Greater San Diego Vision is an initiative on-course to engage an unprecedented number of San Diegans indeveloping a shared vision for our region in order to plan for a future that doesn’t just preserve what we all hold dear,but takes it to a new level. Like it or not, San Diego is changing. Over the next 40 years, we will add 1.3 million newresidents—most of them, our own children.The Foundation has partnered with Bridgepoint Education, Cox Communications, The Leichtag Family Foundation,The Legler Benbough Foundation, Qualcomm, and the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporationto provide the resources and harness the intellectual capital needed for the endeavor. The initiative has also receivedgenerous support from community leaders including Malin Burnham, Ron Fowler, Joan and Irwin Jacobs, PeterJames MacCraken, Connie Matsui, Scott Peters, and Buzz Woolley.Facilitated by The San Diego Foundation, Our Greater San Diego Vision is a bold and dynamic undertaking, atwo-year project to create a long-term vision and an action plan.
