Through professional involvement, the PGBC hasconducted collaborative researches on local and global developments of green buildings;organized researches, seminars and training courses in green building design andtechnology and advised the government on the formulation, setting up and monitoring ofa local green building labeling scheme.It is the mission of the <strong>Building</strong>s Department (BD) to make the built environment safe,healthy and sustainable for our community. On this front, the BD promotes and facilitatesthe construction and maintenance of quality and sustainable private buildings byintroducing the Sustainable <strong>Building</strong> Design Guidelines to the building industry in early2011, covering building separation, building set back and site coverage of greenery.
