Thedata obtained includes: number and types of logging equipment, numberof workers, and general business operating procedures. This informationwill enable the WVDOF to evaluate the timber harvest volume that can beaccomplished with the recorded data in comparison with the volume neededby the forest products industry each year.Timber Product Output (TPO)This project is a collection of data that identifies the products producedfrom the forests in West Virginia, volume of timber for major species for eachcounty. This tool is useful when determining the location of additional woodprocessing plants and therefore can be used to plan for future economicexpansion in the state of West Virginia.EligibleApplicantsAny individual or company that operates a business, within the state ofWest Virginia, that produces or manufacturers a product from wood. Thisproduction or manufacturing can involve any form of wood including, but notlimited to: trees, logs, lumber, post and rail fence, flooring, cabinets, furniture,home furnishings, dimension/millwork, moulding, flooring, architecturalmillwork, trusses, pallets, wood pellets, log homes, and railroad ties.RestrictionsF–40 B U S I N E S S R E S O U R C E D I R E C T O R Y
