Community SupportR e g i o n a lBrooke-Hancock Regional Planning and Development Council continued ...Program: WV Regional Planning and Development CouncilDescriptionAs a regional council and through the above funding, the Brooke-HancockRegional Planning and Development Council has one full-time person, thepartial assistance of the Executive Director and a financial working relationshipwith the Business Development Corporation of the Northern Panhandle.These personnel entities are guided by a 25 member private-public councilboard which meets on a quarterly basis. Presently, the Council monitors/administers six water and sewer projects within the two-county region. Inaddition, at the request of the State, it administers and coordinates the stateenergy grant program. A further program is the US EPA regional brownfieldsassessment program, a $300,000 three-year grant to clean-up and redevelopmothballed commercial-industrial sites. Also, the council is a member of theWeirton Port Authority and actively leads a grant request program for NexGenPort Security.EligibleApplicantsMinimum/maximum investment/job creation are not criteria within the presentcouncil programs.H–4 B U S I N E S S R E S O U R C E D I R E C T O R Y
