EF Reports can pull information from this database. (See Reports > ReportManager.)PRACTICING ELECTRONIC FILINGPractice filing electronically by sending a few more returns. Open and calculate the first five testreturns provided in the software (400-00-1001 through 400-00-1005). View the returns for EFMESSAGES pages. If there is a message, correct the error before calculating the return again.Additional EF practice returns are available on the Drake Evaluation CD. Insert the CD into yourcomputer’s CD drive, select Practice and Test Returns, and choose Electronic Filing andBanking Practice.WARNING!Do not transmit any test returns that contain Social Security Numbers otherthan those in the 400-00 and 500-00 series included in the software. Anyother returns are processed as actual tax returns and the ERO could becharged with filing fraudulent tax returns.SEARCHING THE EF DATABASEThe EF Database contains information about all returns that have been electronically filed.To view your EF Database, select EF > Search EF Database on the menu bar. Use one of thefollowing methods to search:• Type the SSN, EIN, or name of the primary taxpayer (without spaces, dashes, or additionalcharacters). Press ENTER or click OK.• Leave the SSN/EIN/Name to search for field blank and click Go. Press PAGE UP orPAGE DOWN to browse the EF records.___NOTEIf there are multiple records for a SSN or EIN, the additional records arelisted in the box at the bottom of the window.Drake Software Evaluation GuideCopyrighted Material

To go back to the EFdatabase from the return, press F9.VIEWING YOUR ONLINE EF DATABASEThe Online EF Database displays information about electronically filed returns in real time. Runreports on returns, loans, and checks, or search for electronic filing information for a single SSN orEIN.
