Select the folder in which to save the document. This is the currently selected or activefolder.2. Click Import from the menu bar. Browse to the file location on the server or harddrive and select the document for import.3. Click Save. The <strong>Drake</strong> Document Manager copies the document into the selectedfolder and leaves the master document in the existing location. Any file type can beimported into the system.Scanning DocumentsEnter documents into the system by scanning, using either a flat-bed scanner or documentfeeder scanner. To be compatible with the DDM, scanners much be TWAIN compliant.A flat-bed scanner scans one page at a time, creating one PDF document at a time. Ascanner with a document feeder scans multiple pages and makes one document of manypages, which is more efficient.___NOTEMost scanners support both bed and feeder capabilities, in much the sameway that many printers support more than one feeder tray.Initiate the scan process from the <strong>Drake</strong> Document Manager. The Document Managerlocates your system’s default scanner. If a Scanner Cannot be Located message appears,the scanner might not be TWAIN compliant or properly installed.To scan a document:1. Select the appropriate folder, click Scan, and choose either Use Scanner Bed or UseDocument Feeder, depending on the type of scanner and which part of the scanner touse.2.
