It is primarily usedfor voice over IP and video conferencing.• Streaming is real-time one-way communication. Examples of machinesinteraction with remote equipment are: polling for measurementrecords and automatic data base enquiries (tele-machines).• Background is used for data which is not delay-sensitive, such as E-mails, SMS, download of databases and reception of measurementrecords.4.
