The facilita<strong>to</strong>r draws a big circle <strong>with</strong> a smaller circle inside (containing the person’sna<strong>me</strong>). The interior circle represents the person and the seg<strong>me</strong>nts of the exterior circle represent what the volunteerknows about him like what the others know about him.Ask the volunteer: how would <strong>you</strong> describe <strong>you</strong>rself in terms of qualities, values, roles, believes and talents?The answers are written on the seg<strong>me</strong>nts of the exterior circle. For instance, the volunteer could say: fair painter, goodmother. Besides ask the group: do <strong>you</strong> see in him/her more values or qualities?Use different coloured pens <strong>to</strong> take note of the group’s answers always on the seg<strong>me</strong>nts of the exterior circle. Forinstance the group could add: strict, shy, prudent, responsible, reserved, loveable, nice, kind, calm, pretty, loves reading,leader, simple etc. Ask the volunteer: “how do <strong>you</strong> feel according <strong>to</strong> what people thinks about <strong>you</strong>?”Analyse the com<strong>me</strong>nts, both positive and negative, expressed by the group.Help children <strong>to</strong> describe others.Increase self-esteem, relationships among the group.37
