REP 12/NFSDU 15131. The Delegation <strong>of</strong> New Zealand, introducing <strong>the</strong> document CX/NFSDU 11/33/10, noted that <strong>the</strong>current standard was developed over 20 years ago and required updating to take into account technologicaldevelopments and <strong>the</strong> diversification <strong>of</strong> follow-up formula in several countries. The Delegation <strong>the</strong>reforeproposed to review <strong>the</strong> Standard and asked <strong>the</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> Standard should be reviewed fully orpartially.132. According to <strong>the</strong> written comments, <strong>the</strong> Chair noted that <strong>the</strong>re appeared to be support for <strong>the</strong> review<strong>the</strong> standard but <strong>the</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> should discuss whe<strong>the</strong>r it should be a partial or full review at <strong>the</strong> next session.133. The Representative <strong>of</strong> WHO informed <strong>the</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> work underway in WHO concerningfollow-up formula including <strong>the</strong> preparation <strong>of</strong> an information statement on follow-up formula in <strong>the</strong> context<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Code <strong>of</strong> Marketing <strong>of</strong> Breast-milk Substitutes which should be issues shortly.134. The <strong>Committee</strong> expressed its thanks to New Zealand for <strong>the</strong> elaboration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> document. The<strong>Committee</strong> agreed to consider <strong>the</strong> matter at its next session as it did not have enough time to discuss it at <strong>the</strong>current session.OTHER BUSINESS AND FUTURE WORK (Agenda Item 9)135. Nei<strong>the</strong>r o<strong>the</strong>r business nor future work was proposed at <strong>the</strong> session.DATE AND PLACE OF THE NEXT SESSION (Agenda Item 10)136. The <strong>Committee</strong> was informed that its 34 th <strong>Session</strong> would take place in Germany, from 3 to 7December 2012.
