LITHGOW DISTRICT NETBALL ASSOCIATION INC.BY-LAWSThe <strong>District</strong> Badging Book must be completed and signed by both panelists, whether theapplicant is successful or not. The white copy is to be given to the applicant whether he orshe is successful or not. The green copy is left in the badging book as a record for the<strong>Association</strong>. Panelists should strive to make comments on badging sheets positive,emphasizing strengths, but areas in which improvement is needed should be noted andexplained also.24. BIRTH CERTIFICATESAny member of the Executive Committee or the Funnet / Netta Committees may sight birthcertificates, baptismal cards or passports for junior and intermediate players. The Registrarmust attach a certificate of authenticity with nomination forms. Junior and intermediateplayers may not participate in the second and subsequent competition games, carnivals orrepresentative games until proof of age is verified.25. ENTRIES TO ALL NETBALL NSW CHAMPIONSHIPSAll entries must be submitted well before closing date as set.26. AWARDSa) The nomination forms are to be sent to each Club four (4) weeks before the grandfinals each year for the following awards:· Service to <strong>Netball</strong>;· Junior Service to <strong>Netball</strong>;· Senior Umpires Award;· Junior Umpires Award;· Coaching Award Senior and Junior;· Merit Awards for Junior Umpires; and· Any other awards, which may, from time to time, be added to the list.The nomination forms shall be returned to the Secretary by the due date and voted on at thegeneral meeting held before the presentation night. Only Office Bearers, Club Delegates andLife Members can vote on candidates - one (1) vote only allowed. A secret ballot will be held,and two (2) persons elected on the night from the Office Bearers and Life Members, will takethe votes and count them. Results are to be kept confidential until presentation night.b) Senior Umpires Encouragement Awards Guidelines:· That the member of the Umpires Committee must be the sole judge of thisaward, i.e., they must nominate the umpires and vote to decide thesuccessful nominee;· Must be a senior umpire, i.e., those aged 16 years and over; and· It should go to an umpire who, in the opinion of the Committee deserves therecognition and encouragement for their efforts.27. COACHESa) All coaches must hold a current <strong>Netball</strong> NSW Foundation coaches certificate or higheror be willing to obtain a Foundation course qualification during the current season;b) All Representative coaches must hold a current <strong>Netball</strong> NSW Development certificateor higher or be willing to obtain a Development course qualification to be eligible as aRepresentative Coach for any season; andPage 21Updated November 2010
