LITHGOW DISTRICT NETBALL ASSOCIATION INC.BY-LAWSc) Any coach who does not satisfy the above requirements before end of season will notbe recognised as a qualified coach the following season, unless approved by theExecutive Committee.28. INFECTIOUS DISEASES / BLOOD POLICYa) The umpire blows the whistle to stop the game and instructs the player to leave thegame. Once instructed by the umpire the player MUST leave the court;b) The team may choose to leave that position vacant or use ONE (1) substitute playeronly. In the case of a centre (C) that is bleeding that moving ONE (1) player onlymust fill position;c) No player is allowed on court with blood anywhere on their person OR clothing.Different coloured clothing and position patches are allowed;d) The opposing team is NOT permitted to change positions or substitute players in thisinstance;e) Any blood on court is to be washed away;f) The umpire blows the whistle immediately to restart play; andg) After the game has been restarted, if there is a vacant position that player mayreturn to the vacant position AFTER notifying the umpires. The player may alsocome on after an interval or at a subsequent injury or illness providing substitutionrule is obeyed.29. SEMIS, FINALS AND GRAND FINALSFor these matches, that are all individually timed, all the above conditions apply except that:The team to which the bleeding player belongs may choose whether to:a) Delay the game (injury time) until the bleeding player returns to the court;b) Substitute another player; orc) Play on and allow the bleeding player to return to the vacant position when theplayer has complied with the rules as stated above.30. CODE OF CONDUCTThe Australian Sports Commission Code of Conduct (as adopted by <strong>Netball</strong> NSW) isapplicable to parents, umpires, coaches, players, managers, and trainers, and is to beenforced by the <strong>Lithgow</strong> <strong>District</strong> <strong>Netball</strong> <strong>Association</strong> <strong>Inc</strong>orporated. Copies of the Code ofConduct are part of the new registration package and are available at any time from theClubhouse. Ignorance of the contents of said Code of Conduct will not disrupt the penaltiesassociated with breaches of the Code of Conduct as set down. All breaches will be dealt withunder the guidelines of the Disputes Committee. (Point 7 of the <strong>By</strong> <strong>Laws</strong> of <strong>LDNAI</strong>.)31. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCESIf any special circumstances exist on any <strong>By</strong>-Law or Constitutional regulation, the <strong>Lithgow</strong><strong>District</strong> <strong>Netball</strong> <strong>Association</strong> <strong>Inc</strong>orporated reserves the right to consider and apply judgmentto any written submission for dispensation.32. ALTERATIONS TO BY-LAWSThe <strong>Association</strong> shall make alterations to <strong>By</strong>-<strong>Laws</strong> with the approval of <strong>Netball</strong> NSW byresolution passed by a two thirds (2/3) majority of the voting delegates present.Page 22Updated November 2010
