This valve designcannot be used for variable backpressure. If the valve’sset pressure or backpressure changes, call Dresser FieldService at (318) 640-6055 for the CDS of the valve. When Consolidated ® Type 1900 TM -30 D-2, 1900 TM -30E-2, and 1900 TM -30 F through W balanced bellowsvalves are used with constant or variable backpressure,no compensation to the valve’s set pressure is requireddue to backpressure.Sample Calculations for 1900 SeriesConsolidated ® Safety Relief ValveSet pressure 2500 psig (172.37 barg), temperature500ºF (260ºC), backpressure atmospheric.Table 16: Set Pressure Multipliers for ColdDifferential Set PressureSuperheat TemperatureDegrees of Superheat, Temp. above Sat.Multiplier0F 0C100 55.6 1.006200 111.1 1.013300 166.7 1.019400 222.2 1.025500 277.8 1.031600 333.3 1.038700 388.9 1.044800 444.4 1.050Set Pressure ..............................2500 psig (172.37 barg)Multiplier (see Table 16) .......................................
