Student NewsFrancis B. Vedder SocietyOn March 25th, the Francis B. Vedder Society <strong>of</strong> Crownand Bridge Prosthodontics held its spring meeting,celebrating 50 years <strong>of</strong> leadership and service. TheSociety was begun in 1959 as a study club devoted tothe advancement <strong>of</strong> the art and science <strong>of</strong> crown andbridge prosthodontics. It was named for Dr. Francis B.Vedder, who had recently retired as chairman <strong>of</strong> Crownand Bridge at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Michigan. Each year thetop five graduating undergraduate students in crown andbridge from <strong>UDM</strong>SD and U <strong>of</strong> M are invited to attend asguests. A cash award and certificate is given to the mostoutstanding student in crown and bridge at each school.Stefano Storey was chosen to receive the award by <strong>UDM</strong>’sfaculty.Pictured at the F.B.
