Student NewsFrancis B. Vedder SocietyOn March 25th, the Francis B. Vedder Society of Crownand Bridge Prosthodontics held its spring meeting,celebrating 50 years of leadership and service. TheSociety was begun in 1959 as a study club devoted tothe advancement of the art and science of crown andbridge prosthodontics. It was named for Dr. Francis B.Vedder, who had recently retired as chairman of Crownand Bridge at the University of Michigan. Each year thetop five graduating undergraduate students in crown andbridge from UDMSD and U of M are invited to attend asguests. A cash award and certificate is given to the mostoutstanding student in crown and bridge at each school.Stefano Storey was chosen to receive the award by UDM’sfaculty.Pictured at the F.B.
