ANNEX IIEXAMPLE OF THE CONTENT OF A SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORTFOR AN EXPERIMENT AT A RESEARCH REACTORGENERALThe following list of topics is the minimum requirement for the table of contents of a SafetyAnalysis Report for an experiment. The topics should be discussed using a graded approachbased on the safety categorization as defined in chapter 3. The topics which are not relevantfor the safety analysis report of the utilization project should be mentioned with the remark“not applicable”.The layout of the report should be such that the main chapters only contain technicaldescriptions, summaries of calculation and analysis methods used, the main results andconclusions. The evaluations with detailed descriptions, calculations, are incorporated in thenecessary appendices if required.Furthermore the safety analysis report for the utilization project should include figures,sketches and/or flow diagrams indicating overall dimensions, weights, temperatures pressures.All computer codes used should be fully validated and benchmarked for their specificapplication and valid references must be given. Technical drawings should be printed in A3format.STANDARD LAYOUT• Summary• Table of Contents1.
