EXPERIMENTAL REQUIREMENTSSpecification of required:• nuclear conditions (fluence rates, nuclear heating, linear power);• process conditions (target environment, temperature distribution, pressure characteristics,• on-line measurements;• off-line measuring or inspection possibilities.3. IRRADIATION FACILITYWhen a standard irradiation facility is used for the irradiation, a brief description withreference to the document(s) in which the facility is described in detail, will be sufficient.4.1. In-core/out-core irradiation• Functional description of the experimental facility and all in-core and out of corecomponents (e.g. thermocouples, heaters);• Sketches, giving vertical and horizontal cross sections;• Detailed assembly drawing (including parts list and material specifications).Remarksa. The acceptance criteria(tolerances) for materials and dimensions which are of importance for the determination of uncertainty factors inthe safety analyses must be specified.48
