Develop and implement an Indigenous-specific offender managementstrategy for Indigenous offenders in custody. Revise the Transitions Release Preparation program to better meet theneeds of Indigenous participants to assist with offender reintegration. Review the Offender Reintegration Support Service to ensure itsappropriateness for Indigenous clients to assist with offenderreintegration. Continue to develop and maintain partnerships with other governmentagencies and links with industry and Indigenous communities. Thesepartnerships include QCS representation at various stages of thecriminal justice system (such as the Murri Courts) and will assist withpost-release reintegration efforts. Continue to develop initiatives at the local level that respond to localneeds and capacity. These initiatives will complement rehabilitationinterventions offered by QCS across the state.10
