Samdhinirmocana-sutra

Chapter Iwere far removed from the thinking of all the word-hearers andindividually enlightened ones. They were sustained by the joy andhappiness of that great, expansive taste of the doctrine. They hadrisen above the five dreads and had assuredly entered the state ofno-returning. Appearing before them, they mitigated the oppressivelands that torment sentient beings. The principal ones werenamed the Bodhisattva Gambhlrarthasamdhinirmocana, theBodhisattva Vidhivatpariprcchaka, the Bodhisattva Dharmodgata,the Bodhisattva Suvisuddhimati, the Bodhisattva Visalamati, theBodhisattva Gunakara, the Bodhisattva Paramarthasamudgata,the Bodhisattva Aryavalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva Maitreya, andthe Bodhisattva Manjusri. 2 9
