LP Gas OnlyWARNINGExplosion HazardHave a qualified person make sure L.P. gas pressuredoes not exceed 13” water column.Liquefied petroleum gas is over 50% heavier than airand in the occurrence of a leak in the system, the gaswill settle at floor level. Basements, crawl spaces, closetsand areas below ground level will serve as pockets forthe accumulation of gas. Before lighting an L.P. gas waterheater, smell all around the appliance at floor level. If yousmell gas, follow the instructions as given in the warningon the front page.When your L.P. tank runs out of fuel, turn off the gas atall gas appliances including pilot lights. After the tank isrefi lled, all appliances must be re-lit according to theirmanufacturer’s instructions.Examples of a qualified person include: licensedplumbers, authorized gas company personnel, andauthorized service personnel.Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, or fire.10
