ROUTINE MAINTENANCETo start the vacuum cleaner:1. Push the on/off switch on the main vacuum to the “on” position. Indicator light in switch willcome on. Now the vacuum will come on and off by using the wall remote inlet valve.2. To turn on, raise the door up.3. To turn off, lower the inlet valve door down and the vacuum will turn off. The main vacuumon/off switch should stay in the “on” position all the time, except when traveling.4. To turn completely off, return main vacuum on/off switch to the “off” position. The switch lightwill go off.WarningThis appliance has a THERMAL PROTECTOR built in the motor to preventoverheating. If motor will not operate or shuts down while in operation wait 30minutes; it will reset automatically. Turn unit off while it resets. If the motor doesnot come on, or Thermal Protector trips off again after a short period, service maybe needed. A qualified service technician should perform service.The vacuum cleaning system comes with an array of attachments that can be connected to the hose endsfor extensive cleaning purposes. Make sure they are firmly pushed in and twist to hold in place.For further instructions to change the dust bag, use the attachments, and proper cleaning technique, referto the specific Owner’s <strong>Manual</strong> located in your motor home.FabricsThe fabrics (Figure 14-11) used in this <strong>Tiffin</strong> motor home for thebedspread, draperies, headboard, and valances contain fireretardantadditives that may be damaged by use of impropercleaning products. Cleaning instructions for these items are DRYCLEAN ONLY.Water-based products are not recommended for cleaning thefabrics in your new vehicle. Most water-based, householdcleaningproducts are not formulated for use on these fabricsand may cause excessive shrinkage or fading. For best results,Figure 14-11. Typical Fabrics in the Bedroom14-29
