ROUTINE MAINTENANCEthe fabrics in this vehicle should be cleaned by a professional carpet and upholstery cleaner.Spills, spots, or stains should be treated as soon as possible to avoid permanent damage to thefabrics. If a spill occurs, blot the fluid with a dry towel; do not rub the spill as rubbing may causethe liquid to “set” in the fabric and cause a stain.When attempting to clean a spot or stain, always start from the outside and work inward to avoidspreading the stain further. Some stains or soils are extremely difficult or impossible to be removedcompletely. These stains should receive immediate, professional attention. Spills, spots, stains, orsoiled areas are the responsibility of the owner and are not covered by <strong>Tiffin</strong> <strong>Motorhomes</strong> LimitedWarranty.WarningWhen cleaning the upholstery and fabric of the motor home, do not use lacquerthinner, nail polish remover, laundry soaps, or bleach. Never use carbontetrachloride or gasoline for cleaning purposes. These substances may causedamage to the materials being cleaned and most are high flammable.Walls and CeilingThe wall and ceiling coverings should be cleaned periodically to maintain a new appearance. Use anon-abrasive cleaner with a soft cloth on the walls. Do not use solvents of any kind, as thosesolvents may damage the surfaces being so cleaned.DashboardTo keep the dashboard (Figure 14-12) inlike-new condition, follow theseguidelines:DO:• Dust and clean the dashboardwith a soft, damp cloth orchamois, wiping the servicegently.• Use a mild detergent andFigure 14-12.
