The department of service managementWe generate new knowledge of what is todayone of the pillars of the western world: serviceprovision. The research field is known as servicestudies and deals with everything from tourismand retail to welfare and entrepreneurship. Boththe production and consumption of services areexamined, along with their economic, social andenvironmental consequences for and in society.Our students are trained to lead companieswithin areas such as retail, tourism and logistics.Our research takes a broader, interdisciplinaryperspective. We have a microperspective on theone hand with research at the level of agents,i.e. how individual agents manage particularproblems.
