Perform work on rights-of-way established by the Government as necessary to constructand maintain any roads, bridges, or drainage structures required for establishment and useof haul routes for construction operations.D. Use existing available public highways, roads, or bridges as haul routes subject toapplicable regulations and approvals.E. Minimize interference with or congestion of local traffic.F. Provide barricades, flaggers, and other necessary precautions for safety of the publicwhere haul routes cross public highways or roads.G. Drivers shall be informed of the various types of haul routes and areas that are moresensitive (e.g., high level of residential or education centers or narrow roadways.)H. Develop and utilize appropriate signage to inform the general public of the haul routesand route changes.3.05 MAINTENANCEA. Maintain traffic control and site access point for duration of contract.1. Refer to Section 01 55 20 - Traffic Control.B. Maintain roadways, parking areas, and haul routes in a dust free, sound, smoothcondition.C. Maintain roadbed, side slopes, structures, and surfacing of roads and parking areas untilcompletion and acceptance of all work under this contract.D. Maintain surfacing of surfaced roads and parking areas in a smooth condition untilcompletion and acceptance of all work under this contract.3.06 REPAIRA. Promptly repair ruts, broken pavement, potholes, low areas with standing water, andother deficiencies to maintain road surfacing and drainage in original or specifiedcondition.3.07 REMOVAL AND RESTORATIONA. Upon completion of construction, and when approved by COTR, restore site access pointto pre-construction condition.1. Refer to Section 01 55 20 - Traffic Control.B.
