Contact Water: Any water that accumulates on the Project Site that has been in contactwith the landfill waste.1.04 SUBMITTALSA. Submit the following in accordance with Section <strong>01</strong> 33 00 - Submittals.B. RSN 31 03 33-1, Removal of Water Plan:1. Show proposed methods and equipment to be used for achieving and maintainingconstruction areas in a dewatered and unwatered hydrostatically relievedcondition for excavations and foundation activities to occur. All facilitiesrequiring dewatering or unwatering shall be included. Show proposed methodsand equipment to be used for excavations and foundation activities. Include:a. Height of cofferdams and assumed recurrence interval for overtopping byriver.d. Dewatering and unwatering methods and equipment.e. Locations, depths, layout, and sizes for well points, deep wells,monitoring wells, discharge headers and disposal lines, disposal areas andfacilities, sumps, drains, ditches, and other dewatering system features.f. Types, sizes, quantities, capacities, and other identifying characteristicsfor pumps, discharge and conveyance piping, standby equipment, powersystems, well screens, filter materials, monitoring equipment, and otherdewatering system components.g. Methods and procedures for installation (include sterilization if requiredby State or local statute), testing, operation, maintenance, monitoring, andremoval of dewatering systems. Include personnel list, schedules, drillingmethods, well development techniques, interruption prevention andcorrection, system supplementation or revision, and other operationsrelated to dewatering.h. Design calculations and supporting data upon which each dewateringsystem to be used is based. Include a description and profile of thegeology, soil, groundwater conditions, stream/surface water conditions,and other pertinent characteristics at each site.i. Plan, procedure, location, and details for disposal of flows fromdewatering systems.j. Compliance with Water Pollution Control treatment and discharge permitsrequired by California Regional Water Quality Control Board.k. Final removal methods upon completion.l. Design drawings, calculations, data, and other documents shall be stampedby a Professional Engineer registered in the State of California.2. For payment purposes, prepare the plan with not less than 3 major divisions, onefor each part of the project, including as a minimum the following:a. Fish screen.b. Pumping plant.c. Forebay, retaining walls, canal and other site work.3. The plan may be placed in operation upon approval, but nothing in this Sectionshall relieve the Contractor from full responsibility for the adequacy of the watercontrol installation.C.
