Leave the blacklead of your tester on ground and place the red lead of your multimeteron this wire. The multimeter should read 0 volts in all keypositions except the crank position. In the crank position yourmultimeter should read 12 volts, and will go to 0 volts when thestarter disengages.Many Nissan and late-model Chrysler vehicles have two starterwires. A relay and/or resistor (not provided) is required to hook upthe additional starter wire.
