Verify that the airbag system warning light illuminates forapproximately 6 seconds and goes out.Clock Spring1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 minute or more.2. Remove the drive-side airbag module3. Remove the steering wheel.4. Remove the column cover.5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.131 Screw2 Connector3 Clock Spring26. Install in the reverse order of removal.7. Turn the engine switch to the ON position.8. Verify that the airbag system warning light illuminates forapproximately 6 seconds and goes out.• If the clock spring is not adjusted, the spring wire in the clockspring could over-wind and break when the steering wheel isturned.
