The majority of works will be undertaken within the rail corridor except for the night worksproposed at Bexley Road and therefore there will be no significant impact expected on thepublic roads. Partial road closure is expected for night works across Bexley Road overbridge. ARoads and Maritime Services approved traffic control plan will be completed <strong>to</strong> reduce impac<strong>to</strong>n the traffic using Bexley Road due <strong>to</strong> the partial closure required when the overhead wiringworks will be undertaken.There will also be minor impacts <strong>to</strong> traffic using the Bardwell RSL carpark during theconstruction phase due <strong>to</strong> oversize deliveries and overhead wiring power outages. As thereare existing access gates along the rail corridor at <strong>Kingsgrove</strong> Avenue and Wolli Street, the useof the Bardwell Park RSL club car park access will be limited. Deliveries are only proposed <strong>to</strong>access through the Bardwell RSL Club parking and deliveries will be coordinated with the RSL<strong>to</strong> ensure that they are made at times that avoid impacting on the RSL traffic. Bardwell RSLprovides a wide access and reduces the impact on the local roads.There is not expected <strong>to</strong> be any disruptions <strong>to</strong> driveways for residential properties oreducational institutions at St Ursula's College or <strong>Kingsgrove</strong> North High School.5.12.3 Control MeasuresA traffic control plan will be prepared and implemented.The traffic control plan will ensure compliance with Australian Standard AS1742.3-2002Manual of uniform traffic control devices – traffic control devices on roads.Bardwell RSL, Council and Roads and Maritime will be consulted during the preparation ofthe traffic control plan.Roads and Maritime approvals and permits for Bexley Road will be obtained prior <strong>to</strong>construction commencing in this area.Limit the impact on the surrounding community by plant and machinery movements <strong>to</strong>outside peak traffic times.Dilapidation survey <strong>to</strong> be completed prior <strong>to</strong> construction commencing.All pavement and road surfaces damaged during construction will be res<strong>to</strong>red when work isfinished.5.13 Light Spill5.13.1 Existing EnvironmentFeeder 708 is situated within a highly urbanised environment with many physical light sourcesfrom the surrounding residences and businesses. The corridor contains no artificial source oflighting. The traffic on Bexley North, <strong>Kingsgrove</strong> Avenue and Slade Road additionallycontribute <strong>to</strong> the overall lighting.5.13.2 Potential ImpactsIf lighting is required during the night works, it will be focussed away from surroundingresidents and positioned in the direction of site works.
