A New York Times notice of the death of a Norwegian skater who won the world
speed skating title in the United States in 1884. He is reported to have lived in the
States from 1888 to 1890. The Rowberg File, volume 51, page 63, carries an obituary
notice for Kathinka Paulsen White, a sister of Paulsen.
