AboutProspects Training SolutionsThe complete Apprenticeshi p and Training SolutionIn response to changes within training and employment markets, Prospects LearningFoundation has set up an Apprentice Training Agency (ATA) – Prospects Training Solutions.This organisation began trading in January 2010 and will provide significant improvements inthe delivery of apprenticeship training with a more customer focused provision of assessments,guidance and information for employers, students and stakeholders.The solution for StudentsFinding long term job opportunities for students is proving difficult during this period of recessionand young people in long term employment may have difficulty securing the necessaryexperience to claim all elements of their qualification.Prospects Training Solutions can employ the young person and place them with ‘hostemployers’ providing access to work experience, the required qualification evidence and theopportunity for long term employment and progression onto Level 3 programmes.With this model there is the opportunity to move students around participating employers, inorder to derive the required work based evidence and gain experience in different workingenvironments.CONTACT US ON: 0800 389 3589The solution for EmployersIt is sometimes difficult to commit to the long term employment of additional staff. Working withapprentices employed by Prospects Training Solutions provides the opportunity to engage withthe training and development of young people, provide opportunities when work is availableand ‘trial’ a young person prior to taking them on long term.Prospects Training Solutions will offer management of training for direct employees but can alsoalleviate the ‘employer’ of the HR and administrative burdens relating to direct employment of anapprentice.The solution for StakeholdersProspects Training Solutions offers stakeholders the opportunity of dealing with oneorganisation for all of their apprenticeship and training requirements. The ATA will recruit youngpeople and work in partnership with training providers to offer a complete range ofapprenticeship programmes.4

Each vocational instructor has a minimum of fiveyears relevant trade experience and has achieved at the very least a City and GuildsAdvanced Craft Level or NVQ3. Instructors also have teaching and assessor qualifications.Our students get the best support:As soon as a student starts they will be allocated to one specific instructor who is thenresponsible for them throughout their time at the college. The instructor monitors thestudent’s progress and will arrange for learning support sessions if they are thought to benecessary. The Attendance and Retention Officer monitors attendance and punctuality.
